Powering Bavarian Bangers

Bavarian Bangers are German sausage experts. They travel from location to location and also to various festivals around Melbourne with their food van to serve up some amazing sausages. Powering their food van with a reliable power source is crucial to their business and as a result, they needed to power it with a Cummins Onan generator.

Macfarlane Generators recently undertook supply and installation work for the Cummins Onan generator set and related electrical items for Bavarian Bangers’ food van at our Victorian branch.

We supplied and installed a 5.8HGJAD Cummins Onan confined space petrol generator at the front of the van which produces up to 5800 watts or 25.2 amps of power. The installation included steel floor sheet (for enclosure), custom-built steel fuel tank, a battery box, 12V battery, and 12V and 240V wiring. We also supplied and fitted the exhaust tail pipe kit, fuel filler (including cap and vent) and 3 changeover switches. Along with the installation work, electrical “test and tag” was also undertaken.

Macfarlane had to work within a strict time frame to complete this project. This total power solution is a key component to the successful operation of the Bavarian’s food van. So the work needed to be of the highest standard which was made possible by the professional workmanship of Macfarlane employees and state of the art Cummins power generation system.
